Term 1 Celebration Awards

Our Term 1 Celebration Assembly was a bit different this term but we still managed to celebrate those children who have had achievements in STEM or Writing. Congratulations to everyone who received an award Their photo is also on our iAchieve Hall of Fame!

Congratulations to our Awesome Authors!

Congratulations to our STEM Superstars!

Congratulations to those children who came first in their classes in the Maths Week Scotland, National Sum Dog Celebration.

Breich Term 1 Celebration

Today Breich had a physically distanced house party to celebrate winning the term 1 house points. They played games and danced outside in their class bubbles. Our new outdoor loud speaker was a hit! They also received a treat bag and prizes for best dancer.

Thank you to Jake and Ava for helping us organise it!

Congratulations Breich!

P.E Kit & P.E. Days

Thank you for your support with school uniform and our new approach to P.E. kit.
This is just a reminder of what children should wear on P.E. days as some children have returned this term unfortunately not wearing P.E. kit.
We would request that on P.E. days children wear to school:
  • white polo shirt/ t-shirt – with school logo or plain
  • blue sweatshirt/cardigan – with school logo or plain
  • P7 – black sweatshirt/cardigan
  • plain black tracksuit bottoms/ joggers
  • black trainers
  • girls who are wearing a skirt over their leggings can remove their skirt on P.E. days
  • we would recommend that they don’t wear their shirt and tie on their P.E. days
In order to continue with our inclusive ethos and promoting our school identity we would request that children don’t wear branded clothing. We also have nearly new school polo shirts and sweatshirts that can be purchased for a small donation.
We would request that on non P.E. days children wear their normal school uniform.
Term 2 P.E. Days (same as last term):
  • Primary 1 – Mon/Wed
  • Primary 2/1 – Mon/Thurs
  • Primary 3/2 – Tues/ Fri
  • Primary 4/3 – Mon/ Tues
  • Primary 4 – Mon/Wed
  • Primary 5 – Tues/Wed
  • Primary 6 – Mon/Wed
  • Primary 7 – Mon/Wed

Thank you for your support with this.

Halloween Fundraiser

You will be aware that due to current restrictions we will be unable to have our usual evening Halloween Party fundraiser. We are also aware that children may have limited access to Halloween celebrations outside of school. With this in mind, we have organised an ‘in class’ Halloween fundraiser, please find information attached.
Our Parent Partner organisation are also preparing some fun Halloween fundraisers to do at home – watch this space!

End of Term 1

It has been fantastic welcoming all our children back and we have had a settled, calm and fun start to the new school year. As we approach the end of term 1, I wanted to express my thanks to you for supporting us to ensure our return to school was safe. Thank you for your patience as we refined routines in line with changing and updated guidance.
Just a reminder that the school is now closed until Wednesday 21st October for the October holidays. We will continue to offer take away school lunches to those who are entitled to free school schools between 12:00-1:30pm each day (Monday-Friday) from the dinner hall. If your child is making use of this service please ensue their rubbish goes in the bin and isn’t left lying on the school grounds. The main school office will be closed, meaning there is no access to our main school phone number or email.
Our nursery is open during the October holidays as normal. Please phone 01506 280997 to report an absence or in an emergency. If your child is absent, please phone between 8:00-9:00am. If your child is going to be absent in the afternoon please phone between 1:15-2:00pm. (The previous issue with the phone has now been resolved).
I hope the sun keeps shinning like it is today and you manage to enjoy the October holidays.
Kind regards,
Miss Burton

Primary 1-3 Seesaw

It is on our records that some parent/ carers have not signed the permission slip for your child to use Seesaw. We are hoping to use this platform in term 2 for your child to share their home learning with us.
This platform is the equivalent of the nursery online learning journals and Primary 4-7 using Teams for learning in school and at home. With that in mind we would like as many of our children signed up as possible. Please ensure you return your permission slip by the end of the week so we can issue you with your child’s log in. If you require a new permission slip please let our office staff know.
For those of you who have returned the permission slip please check your child’s school bag for an envelope with an instruction sheet about how to log in. Currently we do not have any content on their Seesaw account – this will come in term 2.
