Tempest Group Photos – P1, P7 and Basketball Team

On Wednesday 1st May we will have group photos for P1, P7 and our basketball team taken by Tempest Photography.

Primary 1 children should wear their school uniform as usual on that day.

Primary 7 children should wear their school tie and a shirt, if your child needs to borrow a shirt from the office can you please let the office staff know in advance. We would request that the P7 children also bring along their leavers’ hoodie so that we can get a group photo of them. They can also wear their hoodie to their trip later that afternoon.

Any child who has played in our basketball team will also have a photo. We have school shorts and a team t shirt for these children to wear for the photo.

Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

On Thursday after school we opened our doors to our community for our Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

This event was organised by our Parent Partners, with support from the school staff.

Our children created art work to decorate the hall and we used our home learning task to decorate the tables.

The entrance tickets allowed access to the tea party and a range of different activities including:

  • sensory dips
  • caucus race
  • treasure hunt
  • crafts in our community library
  • decorate an egg
  • guess the bunny’s birthday
  • croquet
  • selfie photos
  • face painting

Thank you to Asda, Morrisons and Tesco for donated some items for our tombola, prizes and items for the teas party. It was lovely for some of their employees to also come along.

A huge thank you to our Parent Partners, Parent Craft Club, staff, everyone who donated home baking and to everyone who came along to join us. We will update you with the total raised as soon as possible.

Primary 1 Class Trip

P1 had a fantastic trip to Mill Farm today.  They experienced sun, rain and hail all in the one day but that didn’t stop the fun!  This was a great way to finish our ‘Let it Grow’ topic as the children were able to meet lots of animals and ask the staff questions.  We were so impressed with the excellent behaviour, manners and interest shown from all the children.
