Primary 7 Investigate Children in Need
We started with a general knowledge quiz, using one of our favourite apps – Kahoot!
Primary 7 decided if they wanted to work on their own, with a partner or in a small group. They also decided if they wanted to do a digital or paper presentation. They used a range of different devices to support their learning and presentation.
They researched by using links on their class team and searching Google to find the answers to the key questions.
They used their class Team to share their finished presentations – some are still a work in progress!
Here are some of the finished presentations:

Autumn in our Nursery
Emotion Works in P2/1
We have been busy since Term 1 exploring our lockdown memories and the 5 cog model for our emotions. We have made a little video to show you some of our learning.
Primary 3/2
On Wednesday, we found a very special visitor in our classroom!

Taffy the dragon had come to our room for a very special reason. His Fairyland home was being destroyed so the King’s Council could build an extension on to the palace. This meant that he and many other fairytale characters had nowhere to live! So, Taffy had the job of looking for somewhere new to move to – the location had to be safe and have nice neighbours who knew a lot about fairytales.
So, we brainstormed our ideas about fairytales and their characters. In Writing, we are planning persuasive pieces to encourage the fairytale characters to move into P3/2.
Check in with us next time to see what we have been learning!

P2/1 Halloween Celebration
P2/1Â had a great time on Friday for our Halloween celebration and put lots of effort into their costumes. The children all looked fantastic and were excited to show their costumes off to the other boys and girls in class.
We painted spooky spider pictures, designed our own pumpkins and had a party in class, with tasty treats and drinks.
P4 Learning and Halloween Celebration
As part of our book study topic, P4 have been comparing and contrasting poetry by Roald Dahl and William Shakespeare to identify onomatopoeia, alliteration, rhyming patterns and repetition.
They have used this to write an original poem to include these literacy techniques.
On Friday P4 also celebrated Halloween by dressing up and watching Halloween cartoons with their treat. As an activity they created bat book marks.

Halloween Fun Pack
Our parent partners have created a Halloween Fun pack for children to complete and keep at home. They include lots of fun activities such as jokes, stories, colouring, word searches, etc.
There is a nursery – P3 version and P4-P7 one.
They will be on sale this week with a suggestion donation of 50p plus. The house and vice captains will visit the classes each day to sell them. Unfortunately we are unable to give change.
We would love for you to share some of the completed tasks either on Online learning journals, Seesaw or in the Home Learning channel on Teams.
