Primary 3

A big thank you to all the primary 3 helpers who came along to the Health Open Evening to show the parents all the different fitness classes we can do with Cyber Coach. You were all great and the evening was a terrific success.  Everyone is having great fun today wearing their pyjamas to school. Primary 3 had a fashion show where all the boys and girls walked the catwalk  to show off their stylish bedtime wear!

P7’s Week

P6 and P7 football team represented the school at Mid Calder Gala on Wednesday. We played brilliantly, the team work was excellent and we really enjoyed it.

We settled well back into school life after our camp experience.

Our Health and Wellbeing curriculum evening was very successful and 8 of us taught our parents about keeping safe at home. Thank you to Bruce, Ashley, Declan, Lewis T, Wiktoria, Danielle, Lauryn and Megan.

P5 Weekly Blog

It has been another busy week in P5! This week we have been learning about similies. We are now hoping we will be able to use them in our writing. We were also learning about bones and why they are important. We did a problem solving activity where we made our own skeletons. When they were finished we got them dancing to a little bit of Michael Jackson’s Thriller!

Primary 6 Poets

P6 have been writing poems in the style of poet Charles Causley’s ‘As I went down Zig Zag’.  Here are some examples of our favourite stanzas:

As I went down Zig Zag

The clock striking two,

I saw a man bouncing

Like a purple kangaroo.

As i went down Zig Zag

The clock striking eight,

I saw a bike which ate

A sparkly chocolate cake.

By Zoe Evans

As I went down Zig Zag

The clock striking one

I saw a man dancing

When the party was done.

As I went down zig zag

The clock striking three

I saw an old lady drinking

Tea in the sea.

By Connor Ramsay

As I went down Zig Zag

The clock striking eight,

I saw a boy going

For a long skate.

As I went down Zig Zag

The clock striking nine,

I saw a girl singing

A nursery rhyme.

We have enjoyed the week and we’re ready for more hard work next week!
