Today we were making 3d bridges out of Lego or KNEX. It had to be 6cm of the base and you had to make sure it could fit 3 car toys on it. We found hard at the start because it kept falling apart, so we had to make it more strong and stable. We had to work in partners of our choice and had to aggree on what materials we were going to use and how we were going to lay it out.

For the Scots Assembly Finlay Brennan, Ciaran Cumming, James Halliday and Alysha Vickers have been picked to recite their poems  for Miss Speirs and Miss Baillie. The dancers who will be performing ‘Strip the Willow’ with P7 are Eilidh Anderson, Hollie Brown, Liam Thomson and Dolce Gordon. The reserve dancers are Molly Gillies and Finlay Brennan. We have also been practising a new song ‘ The Roses o’ Prince Charlie’. We cant wait to perform for all of our Senior Citizens on Wednesday!
Primary 3 have been learning about using adjectives in their writing to make it more interesting. See if you can improve these sentences by adding some interesting describing words.

This week Primary 4 have been learning all about the skeleton. We discussed the purpose of our skeleton and learned what is inside our bones along with some of their names, including the femur, tibia, humerus, ulna, radius and fibula. Can you remember where they all are? You can find out more about the skeleton at home by visiting the Children’s University website.
In Maths, we have begun to learn about 3D shapes. We discussed how the properties of shapes differ and used what we learned to describe a shape to our peers. Explore 3D shapes by clicking on the link HERE.

Our school Breakfast club is open from 8.10 to 8.40 am Monday to Friday. Breakfast is available FREE OF CHARGE TO ALL PUPILS and there is no need to book a table, just come along.
