Easter Service

Today we invited Rev. Povey and our families along to our Easter Service.

Our brass players played some tunes for us.

P1-3 and P4-7 sang songs.

Primary 4 and Rev. Povey told us about the Easter Story.

We recognised the winners for the Spring Family Learning Task, and every child who took part got 3 Dojo points.

We gave out the West Lothian Competition Sumdog Awards.

Look at our presentation below to see our Spring family learning task entries.

A big thank you to Mrs Campbell and Mrs Dickie for organising the Service, and to the Rev. Povey for joining us. We all hope you have a lovely Easter holiday.

Reminder: Fundraising Friday

On Friday 23rd March the Magale Group have organised:

Movies for Magale

Children have a choice to watch one of 7 different films on Friday morning, for a contribution to our partner school in Magale. They can also purchase popcorn for 30p.

As world autism day is on 2nd April, for the dress down day on Friday 23rd March we are asking children to #LightItUpBlue and wear blue to raise awareness of autism for a small donation.

All money raised on this day will go to Magale.

Big Bedtime Read in the nursery

BIG BEDTIME READ

Please continue your bedtime reading routine over the Easter break!

If your child prefers to read one of their own story books then still register a tick in the feedback form.

Remember that book bags should be returned on a Tuesday each week for changing. Thank you!

Happy holiday reading!!

Euroquiz 2018

Yesterday, a team of four children from Primary 6 went with Mrs Dickie to Howden Park Centre where they took part in the West Lothian heats of the Scottish European Educational Trust Euroquiz 2018. There were 19 schools there in total! Andrew, Boe, Lauren and Callum represented PUSCPS and we were so impressed with how much of their own time they had used to learn about Europe. They answered four rounds of questions – geography, languages, European union and culture/sport/history of Europe.  Well done to them all for their hard work and enthusiasm! They were even joined for a photo by Mrs Dickie’s son, who was there with his school!
