Congratulations to our Primary 6 children who represented our school in the cluster cross country event today.
Camera Club at Fun Time Friday
Fun Time Friday
Today we had our first Fun Time Friday of the school year. Fun Time Friday is an opportunity for all our children to select an activity that they are interested in and take part in it with peers across different classes. We had a range of activities to choose from which the children brainstormed at Pumphie Pals last session.
Harvesting at Nursery
We have been harvesting our vegetables from the nursery garden over the last 2 weeks. We have used our carrots, tomatoes, squash and onions to make healthy pizzas and we ate them for snack. Some of us made our own pizzas at the craft table and we put them on the wall. They look just like real pizzas!!
We have shown an interest in minibeasts and in the garden we found some worms, snails, earwigs, woodlouse and a spider. We have drawn lots of pictures of the minibeasts for our display.
We also had a visit from our parents when we showed them all the things we enjoy doing in the nursery at our first Pop In And Play session.
Primary 2 S
Primary 2S have been busy this week writing penpal letters for Magale School in Uganda. On the 6th of October Mr and Mrs Comrie, who are involved with the charity “The Friends of Magale” are travelling to Uganda to visit the school and orphanage. They hope to bring back letters for us in Primary 2 and we are very excited!
Club Wild – Autumn Harvest
After School Library Club 27/09/18
Library Club – 20/09/18
Last week at Library Club we thought about sharing. Moira read The Smartest Giant in Town written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. The giant showed us how happy it made him feel when he could share and help.
We then helped each to make friendship bracelets. Have a look at our 25 children and families working together and sharing skills.
Families Learning Together
We had a fantastic turn out for our first Families Learning Together session today. Families joined their children so they could share their learning in their jotters so far this term. They also had the opportunities to give two stars and a wish about their learning. Thank you to everyone who made it along.
Pop in & Play in our Nursery
It was great to see so many of our Nursery families join us for our first pop in and play of the session. It was a busy atmosphere with our children showing their families what they enjoy playing with and how they learn in our Nursery. Thank you to everyone who made it along.
