Head Teacher Update
Dear Parent/Carer,
I am writing to update you on the progress of recruiting a Head Teacher for PUSCPS. I am delighted to inform you that Mrs Joanne Kerr, currently Head Teacher at Seafield Primary, will take up the seconded Head Teacher post on Monday 26th April 2021. Mrs Kerr comes with a wealth of teaching and leadership experience. I am sure you will all make her feel very welcome.
Although I will support the smooth transition of the new management team, my last day as Head Teacher at PUSPCS will be on Friday 23rd April 2021.
I would like to thank you for all of your support, for challenging my thinking, and for your words of encouragement along the way during my time at PUSCPS. You have taught me about the power of community, working in partnership through communication and building relationships, to get it right for our children. We have been through so much together! Snow days to a world pandemic; happiness and laughs to times of great sadness; new staff to retirements. So many significant events on our journey have happened in the last 3 ½ years.
A wise colleague once said to me, your leadership is only as strong as the legacy you leave behind. I hope that what I leave behind at PUSCPS is that our children should always be championed by the adults around them, and that they deserve the best school experience as making memories matters. We all know that l love our school colours and a video, too! 🙂
Our memories are our greatest treasure, and I have loved making memories with you, our staff, but mostly our children. The children of PUSCPS will always hold a special place in my heart.
I wish Team PUSCPS the best of luck in the next part of your journey.
Kind regards,
Miss Burton

Children’s Mental Health Week: Parents/ Carers
The theme of this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week is Express Yourself.
Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. It is about finding a way to show who you are, and how you see the world, that can help you feel good about yourself.
As parents and carers, you play an important role in your child’s mental health. Check out our free resources below.Â
