Anti-Social Behaviour

This flyer has recently been issued from West Lothian.

We would like to make the plea that if anyone see’s any antisocial behaviour in our school grounds including people trying to access the playground, or in the areas surrounding our grounds for example the kick pitch and pump track, that they report it. Especially as it is coming into the summer period.

Uphall Station Gala Day Update

UPHALL STATION GALA DAY UPDATE

With the weather threatening to come our way this evening into tomorrow the committee have made the decision to cancel the parade 😞 This decision was very hard to make and we have thought on ways to make this possible but with reluctant walkers, no ponchos for the children or canopy for the float etc it seems the only decision we could make.

Unfortunately the events in the park also have to be cancelled. Our inflatable suppliers again are reluctant to put their structures up given the forecast and the park will be far to wet for the races to take place. Safety is or main concern and we hope you understand that.

HOWEVER!!! 😊

We will still be putting on our fancy dress @11.15am in the Institute Hall where we will also have UPS Pipe Band play for us at 1pm and DJ Tubz will provide our entertainment with games for the kids. There will be tombola stalls, silly string/ toys for sale and fantastic cheesecakes and fudge. Tea/coffee will also be available so please pop down and support us in trying make a special day regardless.

We endeavour to hold a fun day in August so we can finish off the races etc, updates on that to follow 😊

Kind regards,
Uphall Station Gala Day Committee

Uphall Station Gala Day

The Uphall Station Gala Day Committee would like to invite our school/nursery children to their annual Gala Day on Saturday 8th June 2019.

The parade will leave from Beechwood Grove, at 12.30pm. The committee have requested that all walkers be at the starting point for no later than 12.00pm to allow everyone to be organised. The route should take no longer than an hour and is suitable for all ages.

We would like to encourage as many of our children and parents to walk in the parade. All children should be accompanied by a parent/carer throughout the parade it is along a main road. Stewards and police will also be in attendance. Mrs Cougan will also be there to meet the children with the school banner.

Miss Burton been asked to lead the parade this year in recognition of  her achieving the permanent post of Head teacher. As this is a fantastic honour for our school, she would like to invite the House and Vice Captains to walk with her in leading the parade

The theme is Tropical “so everyone is encouraged to dress up as colourfully as they can.

Following the parade a fun day will take place including annual traditional races. These will commence at 1.30pm in Marrfield Park and there are many opportunities for everyone to participate. Entertainment will include inflatables, bouncy castles, toddler zone, disco dome, trampolines and small traditional stalls. Snacks, a burger/ ice cream van and candy floss will be on sale as well as flags and traditional gala bags.
