Scottish Assembly
Today we celebrated all things Scottish at our Annual Scottish Assembly.Â
Primary 1-4 submitted two finalists and Primary 5-7 submitted 3 finalists from their classes to recite a Scots or Burns poem.
A huge thank you to our judges Dr Hughes from the Robert Burns World Federation and Mr Jenkins, a local friend of our school who is in the Burns Federation. The winner from each class will be entered into the West Lothian Burns Competition.
We had some fantastic dancing Scottish.

Good Bye to Mrs Hamilton & Ms Cook
On the last day of term we sadly said goodbye to Mrs Hamilton and Ms Cook.
We will Ms Cook’s smiley face and nurturing relationships with our children. We wish her well in her new post closer to home at Bankton Primary.
We will miss Mrs Hamilton’s enthusiasm and commitment to our children including the school basketball team. We wish her well in her new post closer to home at Williamston Primary.
Primary 1 and 2 sang them a song and presented them with cards and gifts from the whole school and staff.

Our nursery families joined us to sing a long with some festive tunes. After the singing we enjoyed hot chocolate and played together in the nursery.

Our School Choir
Wriggly Nativity
This week Primary 1, 2 and 3 shared the Christmas Story with their family, friends, our school and invited guests, in the form of the Wriggly Nativity.
They had perfect singing voices, with lots of actions and Primary 1 were super confident at saying their lines using the microphone.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and a big well done to our children, we are super proud of you.
A special thank you to our staff, for supporting the children with the preparation for the performance.
