Pumpherston and Uphall Station CPS Blog
A place for news, information and sharing learning from PUSCPS
On Tuesday 19th June we are holding our second Celebration Assembly to mark our achievements this term.
Teachers have nominated children for a STEM Superstar and Remarkable Reader Awards in each class, if your child is receiving one of these awards you should have received a special invite last week.
Two pupils from Broxburn Academy are joining us to share their achievements and inspire us.
We will also be giving out Head Teachers Awards, Sumdog Awards, Top Scorers and the House Winners, so please feel free to come along and and join us at 2:15pm if you wish.
After school Childcare from Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School
Simply Play is exploring the demand and possibility of setting up an after school childcare setting from Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School.
This service would be primarily aimed at working (or studying) parents.
Simply Play, an award winning West Lothian based charity, currently operates 10 after school childcare settings in West Lothian. They are specifically designed for children of primary school age.
All staff are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council
and carry PVG to work with children.
We would appreciate 3 minutes for your time to complete this very short
questionnaire to enable us to get a better picture of potential demand. Completing this in no way commits you to using our services.

If you have any questions about this questionnaire or Simply Play in general, please do contact us. You will also find us online and across social media.
Many thanks for your time

Reminder about the Uphall Station Gala Day.
We would like our nursery and school to be represented at the Gala Day with children and parent/ carers from our school community. The parade will leave Beechwood Grove at 12:30, with our school group meeting at 12:00pm. Parents and carers should walk with their children during the parade.
The theme is ‘Carnival’ and we encourage everyone taking part in the walk to dress up as much as they would like to.
The races will run from 1pm-4pm in the park, and there is range of opportunities for all our children to take part.
If you would like to join us please remember to return your slip to the school office.
