Library Club – 06/09/18

Last week at Library Club we were exploring Islands. We thought about what we would take with us to our desert island and had lots of great ideas from compasses and maps to books and food.

Moira read Katie Morag and the New Pier by Mairi Hedderwick. We learnt that Katie Morag lives of the Isle of Struay.

Have a look at the rafts we made, decorated and named, ready to sail off on our own island adventures.

Simply Play at PUSCPS

Simply Play, an award winning West Lothian based childcare service, is coming to Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School.
Following a short consultation with our parents it was clear that there was a demand for after school childcare based within our school. We are delighted that Simply Play, in partnership with West Lothian Council, are committed to delivering this. We expect this service to be ready to start in January 2019; we will of course keep you informed along the way.
Simply Play was formed in 2010 in partnership with West Lothian Council. It was created to be a professionally run, charitable social enterprise, to take over the provision of out of school and holiday childcare, across West Lothian. Simply Play specialising in childcare for primary aged children is regulated by the Care Inspectorate. It currently operates 10 after school clubs across West Lothian, employs more than 70 staff who are all registered with the Scottish Social Services Council and are members of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
