Harvest Assembly

This morning we had our annual harvest assembly.  We were joined by our special guest, Mr Povey, who told us a story about the true meaning of harvest time.

P5 were excellent, telling the whole school and our parents/carers all about when and why we celebrate at this time.  Club Wild also presented and shared their learning with us and had lots of fresh vegetables to sell.

A huge thank you to all of our pupils, parents and carers for donating so generously to our West Lothian Food Bank collection.  We hope to continue supporting this very worthy charity throughout the year.

Creative Music Making

Primary 6 and 7 ended their Creative Music Making workshops by attending a concert at Howden Park Centre. Olly, Owen and friends entertained us with their musical talents and some of our children joined them on stage.

Thank you to Olly and Owen for this opportunity.

SSPCA Visit

We were very lucky to have a visit from the SSPCA on Wednesday 26th September.  An officer gave P1-3 a special talk in the hall about animal welfare and P4-7 took part in workshops in their classes.  Workshops included “Food and Farming” and “Pet Patrol”.

Primary 2 S

Primary 2S have been busy this week writing penpal letters for Magale School in Uganda. On the 6th of October Mr and Mrs Comrie, who are involved with the charity “The Friends of Magale” are travelling to Uganda to visit the school and orphanage. They hope to bring back letters for us in Primary 2 and we are very excited!

Families Learning Together

We had a fantastic turn out for our first Families Learning Together session today. Families joined their children so they could share their learning in their jotters so far this term. They also had the opportunities to give two stars and a wish about their learning. Thank you to everyone who made it along.
