Communication at PUSCPS

At our recent Parent Partner meeting, we discussed the range of communication methods we use at PUSCPS to share our learning, highlight events and promote our school.

Following advice from the parent group, we have created the following documents to explain the different communication methods we use and why.

Please download the document here: Communication at PUSCPS

We would also appreciate some feedback from our families on our methods of communication and would therefore ask you to take 3-5 minutes complete the following questionnaire. You can complete the questionnaire one per household or one per child. Thanks in advance for your continued support.

Parent Consultations

We look forward to welcoming you to our parent consultations on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

In the dinner hall we will have a nearly new uniform stall and the scholastic book fair. The money raised from the book fair will go towards purchasing books for our class libraries.

Primary 3 Number Homework

Miss McLaughlin has set each Number group their very own Sumdog  challenge. This will consolidate the concepts we will be learning in Number work over the next two weeks. The challenge will be live from 9.00 tomorrow morning and end at 12.30 on Friday 12th October.

Children should try to access their challenge at home by logging in and clicking on the ‘Challenge’ button at the left-hand side of the screen. This will automatically change the focus of the games to the concepts we are practising.

Please don’t worry if you cannot access Sumdog from home – there will also be time given in class to play.

Complete the challenge and earn 400 coins!

Good luck!

Miss M 🙂

Library Club – 20/09/18

Last week at Library Club we thought about  sharing. Moira read The Smartest Giant in Town written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. The giant showed us how happy it made him feel when he could share and help.

We then helped each to make friendship bracelets.  Have a look at our 25 children and families working together and sharing skills.

Families Learning Together

We had a fantastic turn out for our first Families Learning Together session today. Families joined their children so they could share their learning in their jotters so far this term. They also had the opportunities to give two stars and a wish about their learning. Thank you to everyone who made it along.

Pop in & Play in our Nursery

It was great to see so many of our Nursery  families join us for our first pop in and play of the session. It was a busy atmosphere with our children showing their families what they enjoy playing with and how they learn in our Nursery. Thank you to everyone who made it along.
