P2 Check-in

Hello Primary 2!

I hope you’ve had a nice week so far and managed some of the learning board tasks.

It’s been great receiving your messages and pictures about the activities you’ve been doing at home.  I would like to say a huge thank you to all our parents/carers who are supporting the children to access their home learning tasks. Remember if you don’t have a printer at home, please just use your home learning jotter,

Remember that you can contact me via the blog by replying to this post or you can send me an email at wlpuscps@westlothian.org.uk.

Take care,

Mrs Strachan xx😊

Primary 2 week beginning 19.5.20

Good morning P2 ,

I hope you had a  lovely long weekend and are all safe and well.

I have attached the Home Learning Board for this week which has lots of activities to keep you busy. As this is a shorter week, there is one less activity in each box.   Remember if you can’t print any of the worksheets, you can use your home learning jotter.  A wee reminder that the West Lothian sumdog contest is on this week!

Well done to Emily, Ty, Sara, James and Asia, who had the highest scores in the recent class time and doubles challenge on Sumdog. Super work!

I would love to hear from you again this week through a blog message by pressing reply or by sending a message or photos of your learning to the school email: wlpuscps@westlothian.org.uk.

Messages and photos will be shared on the P2 Virtual Learning Wall.

Take care,

Love

Mrs Strachan xx

Sumdog National Contest starts tomorrow!

Sumdog’s National Numeracy Contest is almost here! It starts tomorrow at 8am, and finishes at 8pm on May 14.

Here are some things to keep in mind during the contest:

  • Students can play at any time.
  • For the score to count, the National Numeracy Contest activity must be showing in the green panel on the left of the student’s screen when they click to start each game.
  • Their scores are based on correct answers.
  • A class’s score is the average of the scores from all students from that class who take part.
  • To appear on the leaderboard, at least 10 students from a class need to play.
  • As some students have limited computer access, every student is limited to 1000 contest questions. However, their free logins let them keep playing other activities afterwards.

Good Luck!

Good morning boys and girls!

We hope you all had a lovely long weekend with your families and are all safe and well.

It’s been great hearing from you via the school email and seeing photos of what you have been doing at home.  We have attached the learning grid for this week but it doesn’t have as many activities on it because this is a shorter week.

Remember that you can send a message through the blog by replying to the post or email me at wlpuscps@westlothian.org.uk to share your learning.

We hope to hear from you soon!

Take care,
