P7 Community Class Charter

P7 have been working together to plan, design and create our class charter. We started by looking at the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and chose 7 Rights we thought were most relevant to our class. We then thought about what both adults and pupils could do to ensure the Rights were met. Next, the class brainstormed different ideas on how to best display our charter. We decided on ‘The Hollywood Walk of Fame’ idea as we believe we are all stars.

We think it looks great! We hope you agree. P7, Mrs Andison & Mrs McConville

Primary 3

Primary 3 have been working hard to build their Class Community Contract!

We have been focusing on three key words to help us – Ready, Respectful and Safe. We (ourselves, Miss M and Mrs Ross) discussed what each word meant, brainstormed and drew pictures of what they would look like in school.

We also thought about which rights would link to each key word. Take a look at our superhero-themed contract below!

Check in with us next time to see what we have been learning!

Until then…

Our Shiny New Primary Ones!

The P1 boys and girls has been very busy over the last 2 weeks settling into their new class. We have talked about some of the rights children have and shared  ideas on how we can have a happy, safe learning community.

We can earn Class Dojo points for our school House teams: Almond, Breich and Calder.

We can also fill ours and others buckets through positive  actions in school.

We will have some ‘Together Time’ each week to celebrate respecting our class promises!

New Term in the Nursery

The last 2 weeks have been really busy at nursery. We have had had lots of new children who have all settled in well and are enjoying the toys and stories and because of the nice weather have been enjoying playing outside.

It has been lovely to see the children who were at nursery last year settle back in and they have been a fantastic help settling in and helping our new children around the nursery.

Over the next few weeks we look forward to learning and playing and making new friends.

Hello from P5

We have been very busy getting back into our routines since we have returned to school after the summer holidays. We have spent the first two weeks discussing what is to go into our class charter and sharing our opinions. Here is a picture of our Class Charter showing the things we have all agreed on for our class.

Hello from Primary 2S!

The boys and girls have all settled in well to their new stage and have been busy learning the routines in Primary 2 over the last two weeks.  In class, we have been talking about some of our rights  and sharing ideas about what we think should be included in our class charter so that we have a happy and successful year in Primary 2.  We called our charter our “Pinky Promise” and put our name around the charter in our own star. This is to show that we worked as a team to agree what should be included.
