Pumphie Pals: House Chant

Our House and Vice Captains have created a house chant to say at assembly when they win the house points for the week, or term. They used our new green screen to record the videos and taught them to their Pumphie Pals group.

At Pumphie Pals we had a Santa Holiday Challenge:

  • In January, Santa is going on his holidays to a sunny desert island.
  • What 7 things would Santa take with him? Draw these in the suitcase.

Book Week Scotland – Primary 1

P1 have really enjoyed exploring the three books from their P1 Book Bags over the last few weeks.

We have focused on the different emotions the characters have shown in the book.  In ‘Eric makes a Splash’, the character is a real worrier and we explored his face expressions and how his voice might sound.  We used an app called Chatterkid on the Ipads to show this.

P7 – Shared Snack

WAL: to enjoy eating a range of healthy foods in a social situation.

I can: try a range of different healthy foods.

– talk about why some foods are healthier than others.

P7 have been enjoying Shared Snack twice per week.

So far we have enjoyed: dips with vegetable sticks and bread sticks, wraps with cheese and cold meat, scones, pancakes, cereal, crackers and cheese, homemade soda bread, homemade broad bean humus, sandwiches and natural yogurt with granola and mixed berries.

Every week we have a selection of fruit and/or vegetables. So far we have had apples, bananas, pears, pineapple, mango, satsumas, mandarins, oranges, peaches, raisins, melon, pepper, cucumber, carrots and tomatoes.

The children work on a rota basis to prepare the food and set up the class.

If you have any other suggestions for easily prepared healthy snacks, please let us know.
