On Friday I visited P1S, P4 and P5 and children shared with me their table decorations. They described what they used and explained how they made them. A big thank you to all who took part, they look fantastic! I look forward to visiting more classes this week.
On Friday morning at 9.15am, we will celebrate our Christmas assembly, to which all parents and carers are invited. Pupils from P1-P7 will sing a selection of Christmas songs, which I’m sure you’ll want to join in with, and we will be joined by our chaplain, Mr Povey. We look forward to seeing many of you on Friday at 9.15am.
Remember that, on Friday, children can wear their Christmas jumpers and bring a donation to raise money for the Green Gang.
This week, Primary 2 got arty!
We had been learning about different natural textures and the words we would use to describe them. We thought about how we could use this to create a piece of artwork and decided to create a group ‘texture picture’.
We created crayon rubbings of natural materials like bark, pine needles, pine cones and coconut shells. We then cut them into shapes and brought them together to made a woodland picture.
Can you guess which animal we made?
Check in with us next week to see what we are learning!
Until then…
Primary 2 & Miss M 🙂
P3 have had lots of fun doing expressive arts this week.
For dance, we had a taster session from Danceworld. We all had to stay on our spots and do the moves we learned at the same time.
For drama, we have started rehearsals for our class assembly. We have been learning about scripts, cues and stage directions.
For music, we have been practising singing our songs for the class assembly.
We used our literacy skills to write invitations for our class assembly and brought them home. Please check school bags if you haven’t received your invitation yet. The assembly will be on Friday 24th November. Please arrive at 9am for a 9.15am start.
