P5 Fun!
The children who did not go to camp had lots of fun with Miss Mushet while the others were away! They made clay bombs which they put into the playground. The y designed and painted pots for some plants. On the Friday morning they had a teddy bears picnic!
Primary 6 – ‘Positive Pumphy’
What were we learning?
- To explore the impact on our local area of smoking.
How would we know if we were successful?
- We would gather evidence of smoking in the local area and begin to consider its impact.
What did we do?
We took a walk around our school area (the school itself, the pump track and playpark) and gathered evidence of smoking – this could be cigarettes, lighters, packets or melted items. We found a lot more than we thought we would!
Our next step is to visit each class to show them a short clip about what we plan to do next. Each child in the school will be given a questionnaire to take home and we would really appreciate it if adults at home could fill it in. Everyone will receive a Dojo point for taking it home, and an extra one for bringing it back!

Internet safety in P7
During internet safety week we looked at how we use the internet, especially social media. We spent a lot of time looking at ways of keeping ourselves safe. We discussed different scenarios and what to do if someone contacts us and it makes us feel uncomfortable. We learned how to report inappropriate contact or behaviours and who we can talk to about these inappropriate behaviours. We created lists as reminders for ourselves.
Primary 7 IDL
We are currently learning about a variety of different aspects of China to create a travel guide. Each group decided what they wanted to investigate and are using their research skills to find relevant information before then using their IT skills to create a page or two for the travel guide book. We can’t wait to see it published.
