Primary 1 have been learning about the Coronation of King Charles this week. We made our own crowns for the Coronation and as part of our outdoor learning, designed carriages that King Charles could use to travel to his Coronation.
P4 Outdoor Learning
In primary 4 we have been looking at dictionary skills and how to find information in a dictionary. We started by thinking about how to find, sort and order information alphabetically. We went outside and ordered ourselves by first name and second name. We were then all given a different animal and we had to work together to order ourselves alphabetically by animal name.

Primary 1 completed 10 laps of the playground. Well done P1!
P6 outdoor learning
To kick start our new topic on democracy, Primary 6 spent Monday afternoon doing a scavenger hunt, looking for key vocabulary related to the topic.
P7 Outdoor Learning
Over the past few weeks we have been planting out vegetables in our WW2 garden. Things are growing well and we have been growing seedlings to plant out later on. 
P2/1 Outdoor blog
P2/1 are learning about ‘Growing’ this term. This week the children have been planting onions, peas and strawberries outdoors.
P6 Weekly Round Up
Literacy – In literacy, we have been learning about semi colon. These are used for adding on more information about what we might be talking about instead of using a connective.
We have also been learning about cause and effect, as this is going to link with our explanation writing.
Numeracy – In numeracy this week we have been revising our fractions, working out fractions of amounts. The circles were also learning about sevenths and and ninths. We also did problem solving with Mrs. Harrison.
PE – In P.E, we started our new unit on Tennis. We were working on our agility, balance and co-ordination.
Science – We were learning about gravity and how it pulls everything down. This was demonstrated by pouring water out of water bottles.

Primary 1 have enjoyed their outdoor learning this week. After listening to the story, The 3 Little Pigs, we used different materials to make houses for the pigs. Once our houses were ready, we used the puppets we had made to act out the story. Everyone wanted to be the big bad wolf!
Primary 2/1 Blog.
This week as part of our ‘Resilience’ topic we have been learning about cooperation.  In groups we created a cooperation drawing. We decided on a theme for our drawing e.g. a playground, garden or a space creature.  We sat in groups of around 4 children. The first person started off the picture and after a minute on a stop signal we passed the drawing to the next person .  Each person in the group had a turn to complete the picture. We discussed that sometimes it is difficult to cooperate and trust others to continue our work.
