Lendrick Muir Reminders

Just a few reminders about P5 Camp:

  • On Monday 11th June children are required to order a school lunch for their return on Thursday. This should be done through iPay or in their class as usual.
  • On Tuesday 12th June, P5 children should meet in the school hall with their luggage by no later than 8:15 am. Children should wear comfortable clothes ready for outdoor activities.  Children are not required to bring a packed lunch. The bus will leave promptly at 8:30am.
  • For those families who still have forms to return, please return these to the school office as soon as possible.

Reminder about the Uphall Station Gala Day.

We would like our nursery and school to be represented at the Gala Day with children and parent/ carers from our school community.  The parade will leave Beechwood Grove at 12:30, with our school group meeting at 12:00pm. Parents and carers should walk with their children during the parade.

The theme is ‘Carnival’ and we encourage everyone taking part in the walk to dress up as much as they would like to.

The races will run from 1pm-4pm in the park, and there is range of opportunities for all our children to take part.

If you would like to join us please remember to return your slip to the school office.

Harry Potter Lunch Time Club

Some of our P5 children had an idea to run a Harry Potter Lunch Time Club. They made a plan of what they would do, collected the resources they needed and made up a register.

This week the focus was on creating a wand and everyone who came along said they really enjoyed it and are looking forward to the next session.

New P1 Families Dine Together

Meet the Teacher (for pupils) and Dine Together:

On Tuesday 19th June at 11:00-12pm we invite all our pre-school pupils to meet their new teacher and class. During this time you are invited to stay for tea and coffee and get to know the other P1 parents. If your child is currently in the morning Nursery we will take them over to their P1 classroom. If they are currently an afternoon child you will have to make arrangements for them to be at school by 11am. Following this you will have the opportunity to sample a school lunch with your child (from 12:00pm-12:30pm). A lunch order form and more information will be given out at the induction evening.

Transition

It’s that time of year when we start thinking about moving on. Our Primary 7 and pre-school children have already started their transition journey over the past few weeks and months.

Transition Challenge

As part of Health Week,  P1 – P7 have been set a transition challenge to teach the new children coming into their stage about their learning, achievements and events this year.

Moving up Morning 

On the 19th June we will have our moving up afternoon when our children will have the opportunity to meet their new teachers.

Currently our class structure for next session is:

*This is our current structure, however we are still awaiting our final numbers for Primary 1, so this may be subject to change if our numbers increase.

WL Sum Dog Competition So Far …

The competition runs until Thursday and all children can play at home as well as school.
