Fun Time Friday

Today we had our first Fun Time Friday of the school year. Fun Time Friday is an opportunity for all our children to select an activity that they are interested in and take part in it with peers across different classes. We had a range of activities to choose from which the children brainstormed at Pumphie Pals last session.

Club Wild – Autumn Harvest

As the weather turns colder it is time to harvest our produce in the school garden.

We got a bumper crop of potatoes of all different colours, the biggest red and brown onions we have ever seen and a bucket load of broad beans. The potatoes and onions will be washed, dried and stored so that everyone in the school can use them through the winter.

We tasted fresh peas and broad beans which will make a lovely hummus.

Join us next week for more Autumn adventures.

Library Club – 20/09/18

Last week at Library Club we thought about  sharing. Moira read The Smartest Giant in Town written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. The giant showed us how happy it made him feel when he could share and help.

We then helped each to make friendship bracelets.  Have a look at our 25 children and families working together and sharing skills.

Families Learning Together

We had a fantastic turn out for our first Families Learning Together session today. Families joined their children so they could share their learning in their jotters so far this term. They also had the opportunities to give two stars and a wish about their learning. Thank you to everyone who made it along.

Pop in & Play in our Nursery

It was great to see so many of our Nursery  families join us for our first pop in and play of the session. It was a busy atmosphere with our children showing their families what they enjoy playing with and how they learn in our Nursery. Thank you to everyone who made it along.
