P1 Induction Evening – Meet the Teacher (for parents):
On Tuesday 4th June at 6pm we would like to invite parents/ carers along to find out about what learning and routines are like in P1. You will also receive all your enrollment forms at this time and have a chance to visit the P1 classrooms. If you are unable to attend the induction evening, the PowerPoints will be available on our school blog and you can pick up your induction pack and forms from the office.
We will have on sale nearly new uniform and school ties for anyone who would like to purchase one. Please remember to return your dine together orders.
Meet the Teacher (for pupils) and Dine Together:
On Tuesday 11th June at 11:00-12pm we invite all our pre-school children to meet their new teacher and class. During this time, parents/ carers are invited to stay for tea and coffee and get to know the other P1 parents.
The morning pre-school children will be brought into the P1 classroom by the nursery staff. Afternoon or new children to the school should meet at the school office at 10:55am.
Following this you will have the opportunity to sample a school lunch with your child (from 12:00pm-12:30pm). A lunch order form is enclosed with letter, please return to school by 4th June with the money for an adult lunch enclosed. You can also hand these forms in on the induction evening.

Unfortunately we have decided to cancel the summer BBQ on Wednesday 5th June, due to low ticket sales and the weather. We hope to reschedule in the new term.

As a health promoting school we would like to remind parents/ carers the importance of children bringing a healthy snack to school. Some of our children are bringing sugary candy style snacks, packets of biscuits and/ or share bags of crisps. These types of snack can obviously have a negative impact on their concentration levels, their health and teeth. We would appreciate it if children could bring a healthy snack with them for break times. Some examples may include, fruit, veggie sticks, crackers, cheese, etc.
Broxburn Academy have decided to cancel the Sports Day for P7s on Friday 31st May due to the weather. Our P7 children should attend PUSCPS as normal on Friday and wear school uniform.
A reminder that our Parent Partners Group will hold their AGM this evening at 6pm in the school. All parents and carers are welcome to attend. At the meeting we will go over the groups constitution and elect members, and positions for the next school year. Any parent or carer with a child at nursery or school can join the Parent Partners group at any time. As representatives of the parent forum we would ideally like to have members from all stages of the school so that we can develop and engage in activities which support the school in the education and welfare of all the pupils.
