Children’s Mental Health Week: Parents/ Carers

The theme of this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week is Express Yourself.

Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. It is about finding a way to show who you are, and how you see the world, that can help you feel good about yourself.

As parents and carers, you play an important role in your child’s mental health. Check out our free resources below.

End of Week 3

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our whole school challenge this week, you can see all the tartan designs in our sway below.

Life can be challenging at the minute, in so many different ways. We recognise that you are all trying your best to support your children during this time. Please remember – you are all doing a fab job. If there is anything we can do to support you please let us know.

Scottish Autism – Winter Connections

Thanks to funding from the Scottish Government, we have introduced Winter Connections.

We are all spending more time at home now as a result of the pandemic. Most of us are seeing less of our friends and family and may be missing social activities and opportunities to connect with others. The winter months can be challenging, but this year, they are particularly hard.

Winter Connections aims to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation by providing autistic people and their families with the opportunity to connect with others.
