For our topic Primary 3 are comparing the Island of Coll in Scotland with Madagascar. We have been becoming familiar with using an atlas to look up countries. We have been using the index and coordinates to help us. We enjoyed working with a partner setting challenges to find different countries in the atlas!
Primary 3 Roar
Primary 3 had a great time performing their expressive dance last week to Katie Perry’s song, “Roar”. The class enjoyed it  so much they have asked if they can perform the dance again when they have their class assembly soon.
Primary 3 football
Primary 3 finished their 5 week course today of football skills with James from Broxburn United Sports Club. During the 5 weeks, primary 3 learned the importance of being healthy and fit and also how important it is to offer encouragement to your team mates. Today all the class received medals to take home for all their hard work over the last few weeks.

Primary 3
As part of our Scottish topic P3 have been learning all about Robert Owen this week and researching all the good things he did for the Mill workers of New Lanark. We created a timeline of how our day compared to the pauper apprentices in the Mill and did line drawings of the Mill houses. We are going on a trip on Monday to visit the New Lanark Heritage Centre and are very excited about this!
Primary 3
In writing this week primary 3 have been focusing on using the connectives, and, but and because. We have been learning the Canadian Barn Dance in PE as we will be doing this dance at our Christmas Party. As part of our Senses topic we have been looking at people who do not have their sense of sight and how they have to rely on their other senses.
P3
Primary 3 made and took home their time capsules this week.  They are going to bury it so future generations can discover what life was like for us in 2013. Our capsule included a letter explaining what life was like for a child in 2013 and pictures of the current popular fashion, sweets, music and toys.
Primary 3
Primary 3 have left the Victorian times in their time machine and landed in the 1960’s! We have been comparing music from the 1960’s to now and have been finding out about the fashion from that time. We designed our own sixties clothes using the same bright and bold patterns that were used then.
Primary 3
Primary 3 have been travelling back in time in their time machine to research how Victorian children lived. We worked together to create a display of Victorian children for our classroom. We had great fun today on our wellie and onesie walk!
