Assembly
At our assembly today we talked about one of our school values – confidence. We looked at ways to improve our own confidence but also thought about how we can help others gain confidence.
Hannah was very confident and told us about her fantastic achievement of raising money for her football team by taking part in the Kilt Walk.
We also celebrated the confidence of our amazing basketball team who have recently won the West Lothian league.
Finally, we celebrated the confidence of our Living Our Values pupils, who have been working very hard in class to learn and apply new skills.
Well done everyone!
National Spring Clean 2019
On the afternoon of Wednesday 1st May our Green Gang have organised for our P1-P6 classes to take part in Keep Scotland Beautiful’s National Spring Clean Campaign.
During the morning of 1st May, David Fry, who is the Education Officer for Cleaner Communities with West Lothian Council will be coming into school to talk to P1-P6 classes about litter and environmental issues.
In the afternoon, we will work in groups to target areas within and around the school grounds. We would ask that children come to school on this day with appropriate outdoor footwear (wellies, boots etc) and an outdoor jacket/coat.

Easter Assembly

P6 Skiing
Some of our P6 pupils have just returned from a 3 day skiing course at Hillend. They learned new skills and challenged themselves. Their skiing instructor, Dave, and Mrs Ross said they were excellent ambassadors for our school. Well done P6, we are proud of you!
Rotary Quiz 2019
A huge well done to our P7 pupils who took part in the 2019 Rotary quiz yesterday. They did a fantastic job representing our school.
P6 WE Schools workshops
WE Schools visited our P6s yesterday. The children took part in three workshops, debating issues such as climate change, bullying and hunger. The P6s were very respectful of each others’ opinions and Annie from WE Schools said they were a pleasure to work with. Well done P6!

Our P5s had an amazing time at camp last week.  Lots of new activities were tried and they all displayed excellent team work. They were an absolute pleasure to take on this exciting trip. We hope you enjoy some of the highlights.
