The Baby Chicks Visit to PM Nursery Class
We have been learning about baby chicks. We looked at books to find out information about baby chicks. Baby boy chicks are yellow and baby girl chicks are brown. Baby chicks have a special egg-tooth that they use to crack out the eggshell. Baby chicks start to make a cheeping noise to let the mummy hen know they are ready to hatch. We thought the baby chicks were fluffy and cute.

We have been learning about how baby chicks hatch and grow. How boy chicks are yellow and girl chicks are brown. We looked at the information book to find out a baby chick has a egg- tooth that it uses to break out the eggshell. When the chicks are ready to hatch they start to make a cheeping sound and this lets the mother hen know they will soon hatch. We thought the chicks were “fluffy and cute”.
