Primary 6 are ‘locky’

It’s been a week that has just whizzed by! We can’t believe that it is the weekend already. Here is a summary of our learning for the week.

Dance

This week we have been learning how to ‘lock’ in dance. This is a basic move for all kinds of street dance, but it is harder than it looks. We are all participating well in dance learning and becoming great street dancers.

Music

This week we have continued to work with Lauren to develop our musicality. This week we were using small electronic instruments and Yann told us more about hardware hacking. We also became songwriters, writing songs about Livingston. One group have recorded their song and it will be added to the blog (if Miss Anderson can work out how!).

Writing

We had a free choice in writing this week. Lots of us decided to include a spooky setting. We are all working towards our personal targets and it is almost time to set new targets.

Reading

We all had different tasks this week. The Jaguars completed a character profile, the Tigers a labelled location from the text, the Panthers looked for interesting words to define and the Lions designed and created a birthday card for a character in their novel.

Maths

This week we completed games on Education City, which required us to log in and find our games. It wasn’t too difficult and we will do this again in Maths and English.

We have lots more to learn next week. Miss Anderson and Mrs McCulloch will be doing a wee day swap so Miss Anderson will be in class on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and Mrs McCulloch will be in on wednesday.

We have lots of high scorers for Class Dojo this week! Nia, Carys, Chloe, Ellie and Emma S all have 15 points. Overall Emma C has the most points with 61.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

  1. Hi Nia,

We would love to upload your performance to the blog to share with everyone. What a wonderful achievement and I can’t wait to see all your photos!

  2. Hi p6

I preformed at Ocean Terminal last night and I done a routine to the snowman to celebrate the opening of the ice rink. To top it off the Frozen characters made an appearance!! (Aka 4 skaters from Murrayfield. I held Elsa’s hand to stop her falling. Who was my older friend Zoe)

My mummy has taken a video and photos, so I will ask the teachers if I can upload this onto to blog for you all too see.

    Thanks,
    Nia p6
