P5 Weekly Update

This week we have been learning about extinct species. We have worked in groups to create posters which we will present to the class next week. Here are some interesting facts we have learned from our online research:

  • Tasmanian tigers were not actually a big threat to humans
  • Dodos ate nuts
  • Woolly mammoths’ ears are shorter than the ears of a modern elephant
  • Modern science thinks that the tyrannosaurus rex had feathers as well as scales
  • The big teeth that a sabre-toothed cat had were really good for hunting!

In other news, some children reached level 10D on their 55 Club multiplication activities- well done everyone! We have also been learning how to add amounts of money involving a decimal point.

This week we also played some football in PE and it was really fun.

Have a good weekend!
