As part of our learning about life in the 16th Century the children went to Stirling Castle to experience what life was like in that time especially if you were rich! While they were on the trip they found out about a lot of things they had said they wanted to learn about.
We were met by one of the Kings guards.
We learned about all of the different types of people who worked for the Royal Court.
We learned how the Royal Court played a variety of instruments to pass the time.
On this map we learned from what countries herbs and spices were brought in from.
We were able to dress up in a variety of clothes people would have worn, Here we have a page and the jester!
We were able to see some of the work done by some of the craftsmen who worked at the castle.
We heard some jokes from the jester as he was the entertainer for the Royal Court.
We met Lavender. She did the washing for the Royal Court.
