What were we learning?
To build up the story of a group of people from the past.
How would we know if we were successful?
- We would be able to talk about a group of people from the past (the Victorians).
- We would be able to compare our lives today with life in the past.
What did we do?
- We have been following the life of a Victorian child named William Moss through his diary entries.
- We are learning about different aspects of Victorian life that he mentions in his entries (home life, working life, toys, his Queen).
- We explored different library books linked to the Victorians to find out more information.
- We built a class display to follow William’s life and made our own characters that ‘time-travelled’ back to be with him!
We will soon be learning to write diary entries like William’s, but for our own characters!
