Digital Learning & DYW Week – ‘The Apprentice’ Challenge
What were we learning?
To create a solution for a design challenge.
How would we know if we were successful?
- We would be able to work as a team to share ideas and make decisions fairly.
- We would be able to make sketches of our ideas.
- We would be able to use digital technology to create them.
What did we do?
We were challenged to create a new character for a computer game. We sketched our ideas on our own first, then worked as a group to pick the best parts of each person’s plan. We then used the ‘Cartoonify’ website to practise creating our characters digitally. When we were happy, we worked with Miss McLaughlin to finish and save them. We voted as a class to pick the two teams who would represent us in the ‘Apprentice’ challenge and they did really well at Friday’s assembly.
