The pupils were extremely well behaved this afternoon as P4/5 counted our steps over to the library. We explored the services the library provides for our community and had a lesson from Caroline the librarian as how to use the self checkout machine when borrowing books. The children who are not members took home cards for parents and guardians to fill in so they can become members and we promised to pop back and visit again in May…

Story in a Box to celebrate World Book Day…..
So proud of all the effective contributors in P4/5 this week as they designed Roald Dahl stories in a box for World Book Day 2016. All the entries were super! Mrs C was glad she was not judging and P3/4 were excellent judges as they provided post it feedback for all the designers.Thanks again to everyone that took part……..

Hello and Welcome to the electronic healthy reading scheme for children and young people in West Lothian. This set of evidence based books are available now in West Lothian libraries for children and young people/parents/carers and staff. Everyone is able to access these books simply by being a member of West Lothian Council libraries. The attachment named “Healthyreadlaunch” gives you information about the scheme and step by step instructions about how to access these books. The other 2 attachments include lists of books included in the scheme, age guidance and descriptors of the books themselves.
