P1/2

Good morning everyone. I think it’s going to be another lovely, sunny Spring Day today.

I hope you enjoyed some of yesterday’s activities and managed to find some time to play and relax too! I went out into the garden, and managed to spot some signs of Spring. Did you find any?

Here are some things for you to try today.  Don’t worry if it’s not possible to do everything, I know you will be doing your very best!

Read Write Inc Video Lessons

Morning everyone,

Many of you join me in small groups each week to practice letter sounds, reading and spelling using the Read Write Inc programme.

The developers of this programme are providing daily Youtube lessons to practice your phonics. These videos are published every morning from 930am and are available for 24 hours. Once the programme is finished they will publish each video again (one a day for 24 hours again) to watch any you have missed.

Here are today’s lessons

Set 1  lessons introduce the letter sounds and are for children who are not yet able to read (great revision for those in P1)

Set 2 lessons move on to the next step of reading by introducing two letters that make one sound and are for children who have already mastered the basics of reading.

Good morning P2/3!

Good morning boys and girls,

I hope you enjoyed having a go at some of yesterday’s activities and spent some time in  the lovely sunshine too!  🌞 It made me think of this song called ‘bright’. Have a go and see if you can sing it to the tune of ‘You are my sunshine’:

Here are today’s activities for you to try. Remember to take regular breaks, have some time to play and enjoy today’s lovely sunshine whilst it’s here.

Good Morning P1/2

How are you all this morning?

I hope you were able to enjoy some of the lovely Spring sunshine we had yesterday.

Here are today’s activities which I’m sure you will try your best with.

Remember to make time to play too. I know that in class the construction area is always very popular, so maybe you’ll build something or make something today.  Lots of you also enjoy playing  board games  and building  jigsaws together. The Book Corner is always busy too.

I wonder what you’ll choose to do today?

Good Morning P3

Good morning everyone, I hope you all had a great Easter holiday and were able to relax and have some fun….the sunshine even came out!

Unfortunately we still cannot be together in class, I am really missing all of your faces and believe it or not, all of your chatting and the noise that goes along with it.

I have put together some learning……don’t worry if you have not finished your learning pack, just do what you can do and if that means leaving some tasks to another day then that is ok too.

Take care and I really hope to see all of your faces very soon.

Good morning P2/3!

Good morning everyone and welcome back to a new term. I hope you were all able to have some time out to have lots of fun over the last few weeks!

Although we are not together in our classroom, we are going to continue our learning but just in a different way. Each day I will upload some activities for you. You can try some of them or all of them. It’s important to remember that all you can do is try your best so don’t worry if you can’t do everything, you are all doing great just by giving this new way of learning a go!
