Good morning P3. I am so sorry. There was an error on the Circles maths sheet. In the 2nd question it should be 2 biscuits (not 5).

Boomerangs were originally used as weapons for hunting by Aboriginal Australians. When you throw a boomerang (if you get it right!) it will come back to you. Here are some instructions for making your own boomerang out of paper.

Hello Primary 2!🙂
How was your weekend? What did you get up to? I sent some flowers💐to my daughter to tell her I’m missing her and I love her very much.
What another lovely day it is today.🌞 We are so lucky with all this amazing weather. So good to get outside. The birds are already chirping about in my garden.🐦🐤 I love listening to them.
Well, we know you are all desperate to get started with your school learning again, so here’s this week’s grids. Please go at your own pace and please let us know how you are getting on or if you have any questions at all. We now have a P2 email address: wlharrysmuir-ps-primary2@westlothian.org.uk . (See Mr Wallace’s letter on the Blog.)
Take care,
love Mrs Kohler and Mrs Duff

Hi Primary 2 ! I hope you have been enjoying learning about Christian celebrations. The last couple of weeks we have been looking at Weddings.
Today we are going to learn about things that happen in a Jewish family home. Next week we are going to be exploring a Jewish celebration that involves the family.
Step 1:- We are going to watch a little video called, “Meet a Jewish Family.” Watch out for special things they have in their homes and things they may do differently from you.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zd9jx
Did you see?-
Talk to someone in your house about what you have seen. Did they know about this? What did you learn about the food rules?
Step 2:- Look at the pictures of the Jewish Items that were shown in the video clip. Pick one to draw and write what it is under it.
Try to write a couple of sentences to tell me what you know about the food rules.

Hi Primary 3! Can you remember what we were learning last week? We were looking at features inside and outside of a church. What can you remember? I can remember the weather vane, the clock, a porch and a stained glass window. I can also remember inside a church there are pews, bibles, candles, flowers and a pulpit.
Boys and girls here is a reminder P3-Inside and outside of a church.
Here is the task that should have been attached last week . I hope you enjoy completing this.
Today’s new section is thinking about what happens during a Sunday Worship in a Christian church. Have you been to a church service on a Sunday? Talk to someone in your house about this.
Step 1:- Let’s go through the power point or pdf document , “What happens in church on a Sunday?”
What happens in church on Sunday
orWhat-happens-in-church-on-Sunday-P3
You might already know about, praying, listening to bible stories and singing. Can you think of anything else that might happen in a church on a Sunday? Often there is a Sunday school for children too?
Step 2:- Have a look at the sheet attached . Can you fill in the missing words?. They are in the box below it to help you. I have also given you the first letter of the word as an extra help.

Hi P2/1 and P1
In our last RME lesson we thought about what makes us happy? Today we are going to think about what makes us sad and what might make other people sad. Feeling sad is not a nice feeling but sometimes we all feel sad. Maybe you have had some days just now where you have felt like that. We are going to explore what we can do to help.
Step 1:- Go through the attached powerpoint or pdf document . Ask someone in your house to help you and talk to you about it. P2-1 and P1 I feel sad P2-1 and P1 I feel sad
Step 2 :- When do you feel sad? I feel sad when I can’t see my family and friends or when I lose something special to me.What can you do when you feel sad? What did you talk about? I listen to music, talk to my family and friends and dance. What do you think makes other people sad?
Step 3:- The worksheet attached shows 3 Balloons. Think about the people who might cheer you up, things that might cheer you up and what you could do. Draw these inside the balloons. If you can’t print the sheet then draw 3 balloons and draw pictures inside of them.
