Wrigley Litter Campaign – Feb litter walk

Thanks to everyone who helped on our February Litter Pick, We collected 1kg 500g!

Our next Litter Walk takes place on Wednesday 20th March at 1pm. Parent/grandparent help would be most appreciated. Please let staff know if you would like to help.

Transition to Primary 1

As we prepare to begin our transition process to associated schools please keep checking the blog/Twitter and ‘transition Notice board’ in the foyer for most recent updates. If you have any questions or concerns regarding transition, please don’t hesitate to speak to Miss Kelly.

Parents Craft Group/ Bake sale

Parents craft group will return weekly starting Wednesday 20th February AM & PM session. We need as many parents/carers as possible to pop in on occasion or stay weekly to begin work on the fabulous handmade procession costumes. 

To raise funds to purchase supplies and materials the nursery will be having a bake sale on Thursday the 28th February, all home baking welcome!

Wrigley Litter Less Campaign Update

Our launch day was a great success and had a real community feel as it not only involved our children, staff and parents but also people from our community and children from the eco committee at St Mary’s Primary School.  Councillor Harry Cartmill visited the nursery and Laura White from Sustrans and Councillor Charles Kennedy also joined us on our litter picks on the cycle path.( Daily Record News ArticleWe collected 3kg 800g of litter on our first litter pick and we are hoping with your help to make a difference over the next three months. A big thank you to our parents who came along on our litter picks in January.  We also enjoyed recycling activities and games with Tracey the Tesco Community Champion, West Lothian Cleaner Communities Team and Eric the Dog on our Launch Day.

Wednesday 24th April-morning litter pick on cycle path **
** parent/carer helpers required. New policy from West Lothian Council means our helpers are required to have a PVG.  If you have a PVG please get in touch as we would really appreciate your help. Thank you
