Primary 6W have been making Suits of Armour for Knights that can protect our castle. They look very sinister so watch out!
Castles
Primary 6W were very busy this afternoon. We had our very own production line going on and everyone had their own job to do. Some people were making the outside walls for our castle, some were making panels for our chairs to turn them all into thrones, others were painting wooden panels for the great hall and some were building chains for the draw bridge. We can’t wait to see the finished results!

Internet Safety
Today is Internet Safety day so Primary 6W have been learning about how to stay safe online. Â We had some fantastic discussions about using the Internet and Social Media and about keeping ourselves safe. Â We looked at how easy it was to make changes pictures and to make them look real. Â We also acted out some positive and negative scenarios.

Solar System Art (p4/5)
Primary 4/5 have been busy recreating the solar system using oil pastels. Â Our main focus of today’s lesson was to blend two or more colours using oil pastels. Â We had to choose relevant colours for each planet and blend the colours together using our fingers. Â This was much trickier than we thought it was going to be.
We also had to ensure that our planets were in the right order from the Sun. Â We have each made a little mnemonic to help us to remember the order of the planets.
Online Sounds and Reading
Online sounds and reading at  http://www.starfall.com/ and http://www.spellingcity.com/lawtoner/ where there are lots of fun activities for Primary 1 and Primary 2. Why not go there and keep up the good work!
Mission to Mars with p4/5
Primary 4/5 are preparing to be the first ever astronauts to land on Mars in the year 2030.
First we had to see how much we already know about the planet. Â We worked with our shoulder partner to sort out fact from fiction. Â There were 10 questions altogether each with three statements. Â Only one card contains a true statement. Â We already know quite a lot about Mars; our top scoring pair scored 8 out of 10…super!
Our next task was to discuss what 6 items we would take to Mars with us. Â We had lots to choose from so narrowing it down to 6 was quite tricky. Â We had to justify our reason for choosing our 6 items. Â We discussed each item as a class to decide if it really would be useful on Mars.
