Apollo Brainstorming Session

As part of our recent House Meeting, the children from Apollo brainstormed ideas about what makes the perfect school. All children engaged fully with the task and came up with excellent responses such as:

Kind teachers, respectful pupils, colourful displays, hardworking children, fun lessons, happy pupils and many more.

This was for our introduction to learning about becoming a Rights Respecting School. The children will be working very hard to help us become a Rights a Respecting School so look out for future updates.

Netball

Monday 13th March will be the last training session for the school netball team this term.

A huge well done to the children who represented the netball team at the Whitburn Schools Netball Festival.  The team played brilliantly and we finished in second place!  Great fun was had by all and we demonstrated super sportsmanship.  Go St Joseph’s!!!

Moon Landing

Primary 5 had a fabulous time learning all about space, and in particular, the Moon Landing.
They put all of their knowledge to use and created newspaper articles describing the Moon Landing and enjoyed creating their own headlines.
The effort they put into their reports was excellent and they were all keen to learn more about it.
I am sure you will agree that their display looks lovely.
