Life cycle of Butterflies

Hi Children,

Last  week I received a special delivery of these caterpillars, I have posted more detailed videos on twitter, so please check these out. I am looking for name suggestions for 2 of the caterpillars, my children named the other 2 – Thing 1 and Thing 2! Please post them here and I will confirm their names through the week. I’m excited to share their journey with you and watch them grow into beautiful Painted Lady Butterflies. I hope you are all well, stay safe and take care. Jen

P2/3 Literacy – Monday 11th May 2020

Good morning everyone!

I hope you all had a lovely relaxing weekend. This week we are going to use the same grids as last week as you only had 2 and a half days last week. Your spelling words are also the same to allow for more time to learn how to spell your Human Body related words.

I will attach the grids and spelling words to this post again for convenience.

For literacy this morning I would like everyone to log onto Sumdog and complete the Grammar Challenge i have set for you all. This focuses on different aspects for the different groups.

Following this, spend 15 minutes reading a book of your choice.

  • Watch  and listen to the clip below.
  • Find the oa pages in your Jolly Phonics workbook and draw and colour 4 pictures using the oa sound
  • Trace then write the oa sound underneath
  • Now think of 6 good oa words and write them out 3 times in your neatest handwriting on the other side of the page
  • To finish Literacy tasks this morning an activity has been set for you on Education City
  • Your usernames and passwords should have been sent to your parent/carer in a Group Call

Hope you manage to log on. Have fun!
