Happy Friday everyone! It’s almost the weekend again and I am looking forward to spending some time out in my garden with Holly. I hope you all manage to do something fun over the weekend.

To finish off our learning this week, I would like you to have a look through this The Eightfold Path PowerPoint and then try to create a poster about one one the paths to show what it means and how we can try to achieve it.

Have a lovely weekend, Miss McLuckie

P2/3 Storywriting 14/05/20

Good morning everyone! Are we all ready to start our day with #PEwithJoe?

Make sure you catch your breath before beginning our writing this morning.

I would like you to draw a picture of the human body and label as many body parts as you can. You could also try to label parts of the skeleton and if you know where any of the internal organs are such as the heart and lungs.

Next I would like you to select 3 of your labelled parts and write down 3 facts about each that you have learned.

I can’t wait to see your fantastic work this morning!

P2/3 STEM 12/05/20

Hello again everyone. This afternoon I would you like you to have a look at this video and then try to complete the quiz at the end to see what you have learned.

Your second task for this afternoon is to go on a Scavenger Hunt and use your senses to find out 5 things that you can see, hear, touch and smell (taste will be hard but if you can think of anything I would interested to know). You could do this while on your Daily Mile and write down or draw a picture of what you come across.

P2/3 Literacy 12/05/20

Good morning boys and girls. Let’s start the day with our workout with Joe.

After a rest and catching your breath you can make a start on your literacy task which is a comprehension task linked to the body: Dem bones dem bones.  There are 3 sections and the questions are at the bottom of each page. You can discuss your answers with a partner and write some answers in your jotters.

Let’s have a terrific Tuesday!

Good afternoon A1. I hope you are keeping well and had a lovely weekend. This afternoon I would like you to go on a Spring-themed Scavenger hunt! you can either print off this sheet Spring Scavenger Hunt or you could make your own sheet to cross off what you find. I will be taking my little girl on the Scavenger hunt too and we are excited to see what we can find.

P2/3 RME 08/05/20

Good morning everyone. It’s Friday again and the end of another week of home learning. It has been lovely to see the work you are sending over to myself and Miss Hamill so well done and keep up the fantastic work!

Today’s RME lesson is about the 4 Noble Truths that Buddhists believe in. Have a read through the powerpoint The 4 Noble Truths and the last slide tells you what your task is.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend but will hopefully speak to some of you at assembly at 11am.

P2/3 French 07/05/20

Good afternoon boys and girls. I hope you are all having a lovely day and enjoying the tasks we have been setting you.

Today’s French task is to practise “Les Coleurs” (the colours). Here is a lovely song to help you try and remember them:

Next I want you to create a picture using as many of the colours as you can, and try to label them. Your pictures could be anything from a rainbow to crayons to a superhero – get the creative juices flowing and let me see what you come up with!

Have fun, Miss McLuckie

P2/3 Storywriting 07/05/20

Good morning everyone! Are we all ready to start the day with a  morning workout with Joe?

This week’s storywriting task is linked to the Human Body, which fits in nicely with the daily workouts.

I would like you to create a leaflet that promotes healthy eating and why it is important for our bodies to have a healthy diet.

I can’t wait to see your designs which can be uploaded to Twitter or emailed to myself or Miss Hamill.

Happy Thursday everyone!
