Primary 1b Blog – Week Beginning 19.9.18

It was a short week this week for us in Balbardie as we all enjoyed our long holiday weekend.

We have been busy in class learning more about shapes and even more sounds – we even used the blending mats this week to start building words.

Here are the bits of our learning that we think have been the most fun this week:

Kashem – “I liked building our number towers”

Cody – “I liked creating our story using the story mountain”

Reese – “Making our shapes with spaghetti and marshmallows was the most fun”

Kyle – “I liked making 3D shapes too.  I made a cube”

Rosie – “I liked writing the stories because I used my imagination”

Freyja – “Music was lots of fun.  My favourite song was ‘Stop Little Monkey'”

Emily – “My favourite was music with Mrs Mansfield.  I liked all of the songs”

Liam – “The songs were fun to learn.  I liked the silly bit when me and Kashem were dancing silly”

Ellie – “I liked when we got to make up a song.  I made it about a zebra”

Danniella – “I liked when we done the singing because it was lots of fun”

Niamh – “I liked it when we hid numicon in the sand”

Poppy – “I liked music because I liked learning the lion song”

Jack – “My favourite bit was making the shapes with my buddy.  I made a pyramid and a cube”

Jacob – “I liked making the shapes too.  I made a pyramid”

Damon – “I liked playing in the sand.  I found a number 1”

Mason – “I liked singing songs”

Lylah – “Music was good because I liked acting silly like a monkey”

Abbie – “I liked when we were using the different paints.  We had to add water”

Sarah – “I really liked when my buddy came to help me make shapes.  I wanted to make the shapes because I wanted to make my dog a house.  I used a cube and a pyramid”

Isaac – “I liked having fun with my buddies”

Ivy – “I had the most fun when we got to paint shapes”
