Primary 1b Blog – Week Beginning 10.9.18

In Primary 1b we have been marvellous maths magicians as we enjoyed Maths Week Scotland.

We are learning about numbers and shapes and have had lots of fun opportunities to enhance our learning.  Here are our maths highlights:

Jack – “The best bit was counting out the sweets to put on my biscuit”

Sarah – “I really liked when we made biscuits, they tasted yummy”

Emily – “My favourite part was tasting the biscuits that we made”

Jacob – “I liked counting the spoons to make the biscuits”

Damon – “I liked cutting the biscuits into shapes”

Isaac – “I like when we took pictures of shapes on the ipads”

Lylah – “I like mummy putting my picture (on twitter) so all the boys and girls could see”

Freyja – “I liked cutting the shapes when we made biscuits”

Cody – “Making biscuits was amazing because I was starving”

Danniella – “I liked doing the number jobs in the baskets”

Liam – “Making the shapes out of biscuits. I didn’t know that maths was baking”

Niamh – “I liked singing the shape song”

Kashem – “I liked it when we used maths to make biscuits”

A huge well done to our maths champion Lylah who got a special certificate at assembly today.

Freyja also got a certificate this week from Mrs Johns for showing school values.  In Balbardie our school values are Respect, Fairness, Trust and Passion.  A huge well done to Freyja for showing these.
