P5a

We have had a busy first week back at school! In numeracy we have been looking at different types of triangles and their properties, and in groups we made posters for each triangle to go on our Maths Working Wall. In literacy we learned about writing a letter and we wrote a thank you letter. We also began our new topic – Hooray for Holyrood. We are learning about the Scottish Parliament. We looked at what it means if a country is run by a democracy or a dictatorship. We also looked at the Scottish Parliament website to learn about what the government’s powers are. We are looking forward to learning more! Here are some of our highlights:

Ranna – I really enjoyed writing the thank you letter to Miss Carrera.

Suvi – I loved P.E this week because we got to play castle relays.

Mia – I liked learning about the properties of triangles.

Kiara – I liked finding out what our new topic is!

Connor – I liked doing the division work.

  1. Scottish Parliament will be a great topic. So much to learn about how laws are made and how people can have their say.
