Meet our Fairtrade Mascots!
Miss Spiers & Mrs Scott set us the challenge of designing a Fairtrade mascot (P4-7) and mini-mascot (P1-3) during citizenship groups on Friday. They were so impressed by all of the designs however, after much deliberation, they have chosen the winners.
Congratulations to all of our winners and for everyone who took part in the challenge.

Evaluating the New Kitchen
Miss Marshall’s Food for Life Group (FLAG) evaluated the new school kitchen following its launch in October. Here is what the pupils had to say about this new resource using 2 stars and a wish.

A team of P6 and P7 pupils recently competed at the Stirling School’s badminton championships at the PEAK. We demonstrated excellent teamwork skills and were great ambassadors for DPS
The health and well-being group are currently writing stories about our DPS SHANARRI family.We are going to share these with the nursery children to help them learn about how important the HWB indicators are #girfec #shanarri
Cheerios Bird Feeders – Helping the birds through Winter
Our P1-3 Go Wild group have been busy making bird feeders. These will help feed the birds that visit our school playground during the Winter months,
These are really easy to make – with very little mess too!
All you need is:
- pipe cleaners
- cheerios
- string
What to do:
Thread the Cheerios onto the pipe cleaners (you might want to twist/join a few together to make a bigger feeder), shape them how you wish and hang them in the garden.
