Update 20/3/2020

South Lanarkshire Council have issued a letter today stating that all SLC schools and nurseries will be open on Monday and Tuesday to children of those key workers in Category 1, who have no one at home to look after them. Category 1 key workers include: Health and Care workers supporting COVID-19 and associated staff Health and Care workers supporting life threatening emergency work, as well as critical primary and community care provision Energy suppliers Staff providing childcare for other Category 1 staff All secondary carers should be utilised in the first instance. If there is a parent/carer at home or an older sibling, then children should not be sent to school. Please note that this is a childcare cover arrangement. Educational provision will be made via our home learning packs and Google Classroom activities as advised earlier this week. Free School Meals The school will provide lunches on Monday and Tuesday of next week for anyone entitled to a free school meal. This includes all children in P1-3. This provision will be available between 12pm and 1.30pm, and will also be available to accompanying parents/carers. Please enter via the dining hall doors at the rear of the school building. If your child is coming in for lunch, please phone the school office by 9.30am each day so we have an idea of numbers and what lunch to order for your child/yourself. Please see letter from South Lanarkshire Council Education Resources – link in separate post. Lastly, to all our children and families that we may not see for a while, please stay safe, don’t forget to link in to Google Classrooms each weekday and we look forward very much to seeing you all again as soon as we can. Take care. Debbie MacKenna, Head Teacher
