Burns Day

The Woodpark Burns Day celebrations take place on Friday 24th January. All the children will be receiving their poem(s) home as part of their homework on Monday…get practising!

Dress Down Day – Tombola Items needed!

Next week we will have our monthly Dress Down Day (8/11). Instead of donating to school funds this time, we ask that you send your child to school with a Tombola item for our upcoming Christmas Fayre. This is always greatly appreciated and helps make our Christmas Fayre successful and enjoyable so thank you in advance for your continued support with this.

Dress Down Friday

A reminder that this Friday (3/5) is a dress down day. Children who wish to take part should come to school with £1 as a contribution to school funds.

Red Nose Day

The Pupil Council and Fundraising Committee have joined forces to design and plan a fantastically fun Red Nose Day this Friday! (15/3). The day’s activities include: All day – Dress Down/Wear Something Red  Playtime – Bake Sale – goods ranging from 20p-50p Lunchtime – Upper School – Football Tournament Lower School – Red Nose Day Face Painting (If your child is allergic to face paint, please make them aware of this so they don’t get their face painted!)
Golden Time – Splat the Teacher, 20p a Splat! Please send your child to school that day with a donation for Red Nose Day, anything you give will be sent to the Red Nose Day Charity. Sign-up sheet for the football tournament will be posted in the school corridor on Monday, please sign up quickly so as not to miss out!

World Book Day

As part of World Book Day this Thursday (6/3) the children can bring in a pair of pyjamas/onesie to change into for the ‘bedtime story’ theme.

Big Topic Showcase

The annual Woodpark ‘Big Topic Showcase’ will take place on Thursday 14th March from 1:30pm – 2:30pm. Parents and carers are all invited to come and see everything the children have been learning in their big topics…they can’t wait to show you!

Toasty Tuesdays and Thursdays!

The school is starting a healthy snack initiative where the children can buy slices of toast and butter at break times on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The toast will cost 10p a slice, be available from the dinner hall and will be served by parent helpers! Please check your child’s homelink in the coming days for a letter with more information.
