Pupils will work through units of work that cover Experiences and Outcomes from Level 4 of the Computing curricular area from Curriculum for Excellence.
Pupils will study Computing for one period each week.
The units of work in the course include:
- Programming with Visual Basic
- Computer Systems
- Stopmotion Animation Techniques
- Network Security Issues

Oct – Dec | Stop-Motion Animation – This unit builds on the skills developed in S2. Pupils will develop a deeper understanding of some animation techniques and will plan, design and construct a stop-motion animation of their choice.

Jan – Mar | Programming with Visual Basic – Pupils will develop their programming skills from S2 by completing a series of tasks using a more complex programming language called Visual Basic.
