The Daily Mile

At Crawford Primary we strive to be fit and healthy. We take part in the Daily Mile to help us stay this way. At a set time every day we walk around the school for 15 minutes. What an amazing view we have from our school playground. We are very lucky!

The Sea Topic

P1-7 have started work on a topic on The Sea with Miss Erskine and Mrs Wood. In the first session the pupils talked about what they know already, what they would like to learn and how they would present their work. The teachers were then able to make a plan for the term using the ideas of the pupils. Everyone is enjoying the topic so far and we are all really excited about the activities planned.

P.E. sessions

Our pupils do P.E. on a Monday and a Tuesday afternoon as a P1-7 class. They are learning to work well as a team and be considerate of each other. They are also learning the skills of Gymnastics. Fun! Fun! Fun!

Summer Vegetables

A huge thank you to James, Alec and Yvonne Walkinshaw who were responsible for watering the vegetables in our school garden over the Summer holidays. As it was a very hot, dry Summer this was a mammoth task and we are very grateful to these 3 people for doing the job so well. The tatties were ready during the Summer and parents were given the chance to collect some from the playground. The carrots are now ready. James and Alec dug them up and all pupils were given some home to try. The leeks and pumpkins are still growing.

Great job The Walkinshaws.Thank you very much.
