What is Mary’s Meals?

Mary’s Meals is a charity originally founded in Scotland by Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow in 2002 and it has gained an extraordinary amount of support over the years. Mary’s Meals targets the poorest communities around the world and aims to provide children in deprived countries with nutritional (healthy) meals in order to ensure that they will be able to commit their full attention to their education.

Background

Daniels Adams is the Executive Director of Mary’s Meals. He was originally a journalist, starting in 2004 by writing magazines, newspapers, comics and books. In 2011, Adams had an interview with Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow, which he stated was a life changing experience. After this encounter, he felt compelled to leave his career of journalism behind to devote (spending lots of time on something) his life to feeding hungry children more nutritious food.

We were lucky enough to have an interview with Daniel Adams to ask for his opinion on the effect that climate change is having on struggling countries and to also ask about the work that Mary’s Meals does. We were fascinated by his knowledge and dedication.
