WATCH: Interview with Tony McDaid

Today we interviewed Executive Director of Education Resources, Tony McDaid. Mr McDaid is responsible for every child’s education in South Lanarkshire. We gathered his opinions about the ongoing issue of climate change and what he and his department are doing to tackle this in terms of education.

We asked questions about South Lanarkshire Council’s plans to introduce more about climate change into the curriculum, plans to encourage greener travel to school and how to make the school menu more eco-friendly.

Tony was interviewed by St John Ogilvie High School pupils.

When answering our questions Mr McDaid was very polite, and gave us the impression that South Lanarkshire Council are taking their plans forward to improve climate change action in the education department.
